Focus on Education

We all have a stake in making sure that today's children grow up to be productive citizens who give back to the community. The best thing we can do to get them off to the right start is to focus on their development and education. A stable, loving, and stimulating home is the foundation for a child's success in school, and a good education is the foundation for a child's success in work and in life.

We reduce the number of children in our community who are neglected or abused through:

We reduce the number of families unable to obtain affordable, quality childcare through:

  • YMCA of Greensboro's Hayes Taylor Afterschool Program and Summer Camp
  • YWCA of Greensboro's YWORLD Summer Camp

We increase the likelihood of success in schools for disadvantaged students through social and academic enrichment with:
